From childhood Val Mustain has loved to make beautiful things with her hands. She began making jewelry in high school but opted for a college degree in Art History and a MA in Philosophy focusing on Aesthetics. Only after years of teaching and business administration did she return to the creativity of making jewelry.

As owner of Enchanted Earthworks she has been able to incorporate her love of art by supporting local artists in her gallery with her administrative knowledge and the joy of jewelry making.

"I love to work with the energy and beauty of natural stone beads, looking for ways to enhance that beauty with cloisonné, faceted crystal and glass, and the many sizes and shapes of metal beads", says Val. "The knowledge that someone will wear my work on their body and share its energy, inspires how I work with beads. I let them speak to me and am thrilled when they speak to someone else."
